You have to start somewhere and work your way out of debt
If you have a mountain of debt, studies show paying off the little debts can give you the confidence to tackle the larger ones. You know, like paying off a modest balance on a department store card before getting to the card with the bigger balance. Of course, we generally recommend chipping away at the card with the highest interest rate, but sometimes psyching yourself up is worth it.
Sometimes certain situations are so complicated that we don't know how to get started, and we're left doing nothing for a long time. But as long as we don't do anything, the situation gets more difficult. So there's always a way to start solving it, and it's step by step, even if they're little ones, it's better than doing nothing.
When you start paying small debts, you will notice how the problem is minimized and how simple it will be to continue with the bigger ones, you will feel driven to eradicate them completely.
The important thing is, not to stand idly by in this kind of situation, watching it get worse. Every step counts!
