Margot Robbie: This was her salary for her role in 'The Wolf Of Wall Street'

The big production pulled in over $390 million at the box office, but did the actress receive a fair salary for her performance?

Margot Robbie is a huge star in the Hollywood industry, with a growing net worth of $22 million thanks to a handful of blockbuster hits including I, Tonya, Once Upon a Time… In Hollywood, and of course, Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street.

Despite her fame and experience, the celebrity was only paid a fraction of the amount Leonardo DiCaprio received for TWOWS. Keep on reading to know how much she made with the movie and how she amassed her fortune.

While The Wolf of Wall Street was undoubtedly Robbie’s breakthrough role in Hollywood, it was Pan Am in 2013 the show that put her on the map, where she worked alongside Rachel McAdams and Domhnall Gleeson.

The role in TWOWS, which helped the actress collect the Empire Award for Best Newcomer, brought along many opportunities soon after for Robbie, but fans may be surprised to hear that the Aussie artist only made $347,000 from the movie.

Everyone will agree that is a ton of money anyway, but considering how the flick pulled in over $390 million at the box office, she could have been paid more.

Still, Robbie wasn’t complaining. She only had one hit movie under her belt before signing on for the project, so she certainly couldn’t have expected to receive the same salary DiCaprio got for the movie.

In an interview with IndieWire in 2014, the actress said “When I was planning my move to America I was living in Melbourne working on Neighbours. I worked on the show for three years, and it was probably a couple of months into it when I decided. Up until then, I had no idea that you could even do acting as a career, or that people could make a living out of it.”

Margot Robbie didn’t mind her bank account, she was just happy to have a role in TWOWS and work with such a great and talented crew.
