LeBron James is still "The King" as he is the highest-rated player in the NBA. Keep reading to discover all the details!
LeBron James displayed zero signs of slowing down in his age-36 season as he led the Los Angeles Lakers to their 17th NBA title in franchise history. Even if he's no longer winning MVP awards, James has proven that he's still the best player in the NBA. At least, that's what the makers of the NBA 2K21 believe.
LeBron James is the highest-rated player for NBA 2K21 at 98 overall. This is the seventh time where James earned a 98 overall rating by the NBA 2K franchise (2007, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2015 and 2019). He peaked at 99 for NBA 2K14, and he's earned 97 five times.
Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who won his second straight MVP award in 2019-20, is the second-highest-rated player at 97 overall. Behind James and Antetokounmpo are Anthony Davis, James' Lakers teammate and Houston Rockets All-Star James Harden at 96.
In 67 regular-season games, James averaged 25.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 10.2 assists per game. He was even better in the playoffs, averaging 27.6 points, 10.8 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game. In just his second season with the Lakers, James won his fourth NBA Championship. He won it all with the Miami Heat in 2012 and 2013 and with the Cleveland Cavaliers, his hometown team, in 2016.
The future Hall of Famer is still in his prime, and he has a very good shot of matching Michael Jordan's six championship rings.
