Drinking wáter regularly is a healthy habit and is always recommended by every doctor, but did you know that you can take care of yourself and save money while you do this?
Drink less bottled water
Many of us drink bottled water thinking it’s much cleaner than tap water and that is why we are willing to pay 600 to 3.785 times more per gallon.
But really, most bottled water comes from the same source. So, if you are on a tight budget, this may be something you want to consider.
Mineral water may be practical in some situations, but most of the time buying a reusable water bottle and filling it with tap water is a perfectly good (and much cheaper) option.
Doing this will also help the planet because reducing mineral water production and the plastic needed for the bottles will cause less pollution.
In most areas, tap water is held up to very high standards, but if you are not sure of the water quality where you live, you can purchase a water filter. The money put into this investment is really worth the cost in the long run.
Order water when you eat out.
Drinking a glass of wine, a beer or a soda may be much nicer than drinking water with your food, but it is known than restaurants make the biggest profits from the price of beverages. So, keep alcohol or soda reserved for special occasions and order water every other time you go to a restaurant. You’ll see the difference this makes when you receive the bill at the end of your meal.
