These are the highest-earning celebrities in the world

Some months ago, Forbes released it's list of the highest earning celebrities in the world. We introduce you to the top 5 highest earning celebrities in the world.

In order to create this ranking, Forbes looks at what each celebrity earned, pretax, between June 2019 and May 2020, before deducting agent fees, lawyers and managers. The list ranks 100 celebrities, but here’s the Top 5:

1. Lionel Messi

Earnings: $104 million

Source of income: Sports

He is one of the most famous athletes in the world and he is also one of the highest-earning celebrities. His contract with Barcelona is currently worth over $80 million a year.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo

Earnings: $105 million

Source of income: Sports

According to CNBC’s Abigail Hess, he signed a contract with Juventus worth over $100 million. Business Insider reported that he also has endorsement deals with many companies, such as Nike, Tag Heuer, and Clear Haircare.

3. Roger Federer

Earnings: $106.3 million

Source of income: Sports

He is one of the most iconic tennis players and he is currently the highest earning athlete.

4. Kanye West

Earnings: $170 million

Source of income: Retail

He first became famous as a rapper, but the majority of his fortune comes actually from his brand, Yeezy. In 2019, Bank of America valued the brand at $3 Billion.

5. Kylie Jenner

Earnings: $590 million

Source of income: Cosmetics

The youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan earned 51% of her $590 million mostly from selling her makeup brand to Coty for $600 million.
