Sam Worthington, from broke to a 30 million net worth

Sam Worthington was broke before landing the role that changed his life

Today, the Hollywood industry praises and loves the famous actor Sam Worthington, but it wasn’t always like that. When in 2009 he was chosen to play the main role of Cameron’s Avatar, he was literally living in his car. He got this big shot in one of the most expensive movies ever made, and that changed his life forever.

Although he’s signed up to star in another four Avatar installments, with the fifth film expected to enter cinemas in 2028, he’s been doing other jobs that help him have his current net worth of 30M. The amazing actor has also starred in blockbuster films including Clash of the Titans, Wrath of the Titans, Man on a Ledge, Sabotage, Cake - alongside Jennifer Aniston - and Mel Gibson’s Hacksaw Ridge in 2016.

In the coming years, he will also be starring in the following movies: The Last Son of Isaac Lemay, Gold, CounterPlay, and Alphas but with the pandemic, there’s going to be some delay until we see them in movie theatres.

The moment Sam got the news that he was starring in Cameron’s Avatar, he was so broke he was living in his car. The now 44-year-old actor remembered how anxious he was for the six months that passed between the audition and the call that went “you got the part!”.

“I do admit that James has changed my life,” he told the Times of India in 2010.

“I am extremely proud of being a part of his legendary film. Right now, I don’t think that I will repeat those days but nobody has witnessed the unseen that’s why I am always ready for that also.”

Sam’s is a true real-life case of “rags to riches”, as he was penniless living in his own car because he couldn’t pay rent, and all of a sudden he became a Hollywood celebrity. He’ll always remember Cameron as the man who truly believed in him at that time (even when Channing Tatum and Chris Evans had also auditioned for the role of Jake Sully in Avatar) and gave him the role that changed his life completely.

Lizzo, from homeless to millionaire

Lizzo was living in her car, but her talent helped her make it!

Quite hard to believe, but Lizzo made it from rags to riches almost literally. The songwriter never gave up, that’s for sure. Now worth an estimated $2.3 million, the 31-year-old is killing it, everybody is listening to her songs and she seems to be the next Beyoncé.

Her acceptance of her body image, contrary to the bodies that the media bombard us with all the time, gained her the respect of the younger generations. She’s not only not ashamed of her body (as the society would want her) but she’s proud of it. She’s been the 2nd plus-size model that appeared in the Playboy magazine, where she displayed proudly her curves in sexy lingerie, fishnets, and diamonds.

Her real name is Melissa Jefferson and was born in Detroit. She claims that she was born in a “musical family” as her pentecostal family listened to a lot of gospel.

When she was 9, she and her family moved to Texas. There, the young musician started to deal with her body issues.

“For a long time I felt like there were things about myself I would change, and I wished that I was somebody else,” said the artist in an interview.

The now millionaire singer, who does not label her sexuality, started out performing in groups in a bid to take the spotlight off herself. She always claimed that she believed in herself as part of a group, she never saw herself as a solo artist.

With her outstanding voice and talent and in her own unique style, Lizzo has become a force for change. But she reminds us there is still a long way to go. She has struggled with her body issues for years and claims that the music has given her newfound confidence.

The multitalented Lizzo is definitely Good As Hell, and she’s going to keep making hits for a long time, that’s for sure!

Matt LeBlanc only had $11 in his bank account, but then Friends happened!

Matt LeBlanc is one of Hollywood’s most loved actors. He is known worldwide for playing Joey Tribbiani in the hit series ‘Friends’. Thanks to the decade-long show, LeBlanc gained fame and success, but he wasn’t always this lucky.

Before joining the cast of Friends, Matt LeBlanc appeared on a number of sitcoms, including ‘Top of the Heap’ and ‘Vinny & Bobby’. He left home to make it in New York City with only $11 in his pocket! He was ready to throw it all away and go back home, but that’s when he got the role in Friends, a part that changed everything for him.

How much is Matt LeBlanc worth today?

He managed to have a whopping net worth of $80 million, but he is a real rags-to-riches story.
Friends was a hit show and nobody really expected it to be so successful. It actually remains to be one of the classics up to this date. For the final two seasons, all cast members, which includes Matt LeBlanc, Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer, were all making $1 million per episode. But things weren’t always this way.

Matt LeBlanc started his acting career in New York City in the late 80s. He landed some gigs, but he struggled to find permanent work and make a name for himself in the industry. Things were tough and, at some point, he only had $11 to his name.

After some consideration, the actor was ready to pack his bags and leave the city for good, but he received the news that changed his life forever: he was offered the role of Joey Tribbiani and he was making $75,000 for the first three seasons of the show.

Matt LeBlanc once said that the first thing he did with his first paycheck was buying a hot dinner for himself.
While LeBlanc made millions on the show, it is estimated that the entire cast makes on average $19 million in royalties, so he is still doing pretty good up to this day!
