The rapper says she won't stop working until she reaches her goal
Cardi B is ready to make some money and she means bussiness about it. The rapper recently confessed that she wants to follow the steps of fellow artists Rihanna and Jay Z. Cardi made the confession during a recent interview she had with Stationhead.
Cardi said that before, when people would ask her who she looked up to, she wouldn't really mention anyone since she didn't have any role models in her life, but now that she's in the music industry she looks up to singers like Rihanna and Jay Z who came from poor origins but became extremly succesful:
"When I came to the game and people used to be like, 'Who do you look up to?' I always used to say, 'I don't look up to nobody,' because I didn't really understand the game and I only feel like I got influenced by the people that was around me.
But now that I'm at the level that I'm at, one of my biggest influences is Rihanna and JAY-Z, and I'm not just saying it to kiss ass or anything. I just feel like they're so influential because Rihanna comes from a country, a Caribbean country, that my parents came from and she's a whole billionaire."
She went on to say that she wants to become a bussiness woman and build her own empire, being able to say she's a billionaire is her ultimate goal ,and people like Jay Z completely inspire her, since he came from the same place as she:
"And JAY-Z, he's from the hood just like me. He's from the hood and this man's a whole billionaire. And that's just all about strategy and that's just all about shaking hands, that's just all about putting plans together."
