What is the new way to apply for a job on TikTok?

Summer is finally here, the Covid-19 vaccine is slowly bringing back our normal life, and new job opportunities are appearing. If during the pandemic you lost your job, or if you are looking for new career challenges, what is the new way to apply for a job on TikTok?

Not only are there new jobs emerging now that many businesses are reopening, but in many states enhanced unemployment benefits are no longer available. If you are looking for a new job, how can you use TikTok to help you find it?

Today it is important to use all the tools available in a job search including the technology that you have at hand

Nowadays it is not enough to promote your resume in the usual job recruitment sites, it is also necessary to make yourself known in a creative, attractive, and brief way, using the technology that you have at hand.

This is why, if you are currently looking for a job and want to increase your hiring possibilities, it is an excellent idea to create your video for Tik Tok Resumes, briefly and creatively highlighting all your professional qualities

TikTok Resumes is a pilot program designed to support all individuals seeking job opportunities, and the idea is to turn a traditional paper resume into a digital video resume or elevator pitch.

TikTok is partnering with brands that have agreed to accept TikTok's resumes as part of their recruitment process, and their job offers can be found on tiktokresumes.com and will be available for two weeks: July 7-31.

Companies like Chipotle, Abercrombie & Fitch, Shopify, and Target among others, are using the function to recruit interested people.

Employers can post their job offers and tiktokers can apply by submitting a video that includes the hashtag #TikTokResumes.

"We are honored to be able to partner with some of the world's most admired and emerging brands as we test a new way for job seekers to creatively and authentically display their experiences and skills," said Nick Tran, global director of marketing for TikTok.

"#CareerTok is already a thriving subculture on the platform," said Tran. "We can't wait to see how the community accepts TikTok resumes and helps reinvent recruiting and job discovery."

Applicants can apply for as many companies and positions as they deem necessary and that fit their skills and career goals, and those who want to tailor their TikTok resume to a particular job description and create multiple TikTok resumes.
