How can you travel the country in a giant peanut and get paid for it?

After a very complicated 2020 and a new year that, for the moment, looks a lot like the previous one, finding a fun job after leaving college may not be easy. How can you apply to get paid to tour the country for a year in a giant peanut?

If you are a recent graduate, love traveling, and like peanuts, the Kraft Heinz Company may have the perfect job for you because Mr. Peanut is looking for nine outgoing friends to join him on the cross-country road trip of a lifetime.

“What if this was your office for the next year?”

“THIS IS NUT A DRILL. I’m looking for a new team to travel with me in a big old nut bus (aka the @plantersnutmobileofficial ) bringing substance and snacks to fans all over the country,” says Mr. Peanut on his official Instagram account.

The dubbed "Peanutters" will go on a yearlong tour of the US, representing the company in the NUTmobile, a flashy street-legal bus that looks like a giant peanut with wheels.

Even though it may seem funny, being a spokesman for the Planters brand is no joke. Those chosen for the job will be required to bring professional media training to the role, and will be "PR firms on wheels."

Chosen applicants will have to drive and maintain the NUTmobile from city to city, pitch media to traditional media outlets and bloggers/influencers, and secure media hits through radio, tv, and newspapers.

The nine "peanutters" will also need to secure & execute events and experiential activations to promote the Planters brand and manage social media & creating content for both Twitter & Instagram.

There are three NUTmobiles in total and Peanutters will be divided into teams of three, each of which will maintain their own road-ready peanut and take turns driving it.

“You’re expected to bring your authentic self to work every day, to lead with humility, and drive outstanding performance at every level – and you’ll be rewarded,” says the Kraft Heinz website.

To apply for the job you need:
A bachelor’s degree (preferably focused in business, PR, marketing, journalism, communications, or media management)
A valid driver's license
Experience working in and/or managing teams
Fluency in English

The deadline to apply is 2/19/21 at 11:59 PM.
