4 great apps to make money delivering

The global pandemic has changed a lot of our habits. As we stay at home more, we also prioritize convenience when it comes to purchasing things. This means delivery services are hot right now.

Our schedules have become extremely busy as we struggle to get organized, so it is a lot easier to have packages, groceries and meals delivered. If you are trying to find a way to make some extra cash, this might be a good option.

 Here are 4 ways to make money delivering:

1-    Instacart

This app offers same-day grocery delivery and pick-up service. User shop from local stores through the app and they can either get a personal shopper to pick up the items and deliver the order on the same day.

To get started, you need to enter your personal information (name, email, phone number and zip code). Once you register, you will get a text with a link to download the app. Once there, you will be able to see the orders and decide which one fits your schedule.

To become an Instacart shopper, you need to be at least 18 years old, be eligible to work in the U.S., have access to a vehicle and a smartphone and be able to lift 5 pounds without any help.

2-    Postmates

This app offers a wide variety of deliveries, from groceries to restaurant meals or personal items.
To get started, you need to confirm some information and they will run a background check. Once they make sure you’re a fit, they will send you a welcome kit with a prepaid credit card and a delivery bag. Once you pass the background check and receive the kit, you can download the app and activate the prepaid card.

To make deliveries for Postmates, you need to be at least 158 years old, have access to a vehicle and pass the background check. You can earn between $10 and $20 per hour plus tips.

3-    DoorDash

DoorDash offeres has delivered food from local restaurants since 2013. To become a ‘dasher’, you need to fill an online application and undergo a background check. If you pass it, you’ll get an activation kit with an insulated bag and a prepaid card, called “red card”, which you will use to pay for food at the restaurants. To become a Dasher, you also need to be at least 18, access to a vehicle and no major moving violations in the last seven years and less than 3 accidents in the last 3 years.

4-    Shipt

Shipt is a grocery delivery service owned by Target. Customers place an order through their app and a Shipt personal shopper gets it on their behalf and delivers it. To get started, you need to complete an online application and provide some basic information like name, age and driving experience. You have to wait 24-48 hours for approval.

Once you get approval, you can download the app and go through a training where you’ll learn the shopping rules. You need to be at least 18, have a driver’s license and car insurance, a vehicle that’s 1997 or newer, have some knowledge selecting produce, own insulated bags and be able to handle 40 pounds without any help.
