Its popularity brought it closer to other areas. One of the main ones is that of sports, in which the platform entered through multiple personalities, especially in the field of football, which, in turn, led it to make powerful alliances with associations and television broadcasters to be able to broadcast matches of Copa Libertadores and Bundesliga, among others.

Now, TikTok has confirmed an agreement with TNT Sports Brasil, which belongs to the US media conglomerate WarnerMedia, and has expanded its reach in that market.

Through the TNT Sports profile on the platform, the company released the news by which it could broadcast some matches of the European Qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar on the service.

The agreement provides for the exhibition of eight games via the Internet, as well as exclusive content on TNT. Also, they were reproduced by Estadio TNT-Sports, WarnerMedia's paid streaming platform in that country.

In fact, the contract, which is already in force, allowed the audiovisual firm to already broadcast some matches of these qualifying rounds. The start of the action took place last Wednesday 1st, with the match between France and Bosnia. For TikTok, the presence in these types of events seeks the idea that the audience sees the platform as a destination for broadcasting live events.

The union only covered the Brazilian market, although it is not ruled out that in the future it could be expanded to other Latin American countries that have a good presence of "tiktokers".

The connection could become an even more fruitful result for the Chinese multinational, since TNT Sport has the television rights of the 2022 World Cup.

It has as its background earlier this year, when both firms agreed to broadcast via TikTok a series of friendly matches between European teams.

The impact of the cooperation had resonance at the regional level, since the profile of the signal on the video platform has more than 3.1 million followers.
