This delicious and easy-to-make recipe will make you jump off of the couch and go straight into the kitchen. For the brownies:

1/2 cup of margarine

1/2 cup of salted butter

1/2 cup cocoa

2 cups sugar

4 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 1/2 cups flour

1 cup milk chocolate chips

1 (13.4 ounces) can La Lechera caramel

For the pecans

1 cup pecans (in pieces)

1 tablespoon butter


Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Grease an 8x8 inch pan and a 5x9 loaf pan. In a large mixing bowl, melt the margarine and the butter and stir in cocoa and sugar. Add the eggs and mix at low speed until well combined. Add vanilla and flour and mix again until all the ingredients are well integrated.

Pour 2/3 of the mix into the 8x8 pan and the other 1/3 into the loaf pan. Add chocolate chips to the top of the 8x8 inch pan and pat them down lightly. Bake for around 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Drizzle a little caramel over the brownies as they come out of the oven and let them cool. 

While the brownies are cooling, toast the pecans. Heat oven to 350 degrees F and cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Place your pecans into a small bowl and pour melted butter over them. Stir well. Spread on the cookie sheet and bake for about 6 minutes. Remove and let cool.

Remove the brownies from the loaf pan and cut into 1/2 inch cubes. Sprinkle the brownie chunks and the pecans on top of the brownies in your large pan. Drizzle more caramel on top of it and enjoy!
