Things are slowly returning to normal and food chains, that had modified and downsized their menus to adapt to the times, are now beginning to offer new items to win back their customers after the health crisis.
Next week, KFC is unleashing an all-new Signature Sauce. According to Thrillist, the sweet, smoky, and tangy blend was designed especially to be matched with KFC's extra crispy chicken tenders.
The new sauce made for dipping chicken tenders is set to make its debut together with the chain's revamped sauce lineup of the classic ranch, honey BBQ, hot sauce, and honey mustard on October 12.
"When we set out to create a new signature dipping sauce, we went right to the experts -- our customers -- to find out what made a sauce best-in-class for dipping," chief marketing officer Andrea Zahumensky said in a statement. "We went through 50 iterations, and their response to this recipe was overwhelming!"
During the coronavirus pandemic, restaurants and food chains have been very affected by the closures of the first months and have had to adapt to the new consumption habits of Americans, caused by the need to stay in each and the fear of contagion.
In these times, fast food chains have had to stay creative to increase their sales, and one trend that KFC has joined is selling "vegan meat", for in July it began offering its customers vegan "fried chicken", which resembles the flavor and texture of chicken meat.
