You can save a considerable amount of money if you make your own Iced Vanilla Latte. This Starbucks copycat recipe is so easy to make you won’t believe you didn’t try it out sooner.
Perfect for long summer days, iced coffee is a must. And to take things to a whole new level, you can try making your own iced vanilla latte. This recipe is inspired by the Starbucks drink and it is really easy to make. It takes only three ingredients and it will save you money because the final cost is only a fraction of the price you pay at Starbucks.
You can use regular coffee and then add some ice cubes to cool it, but it works a whole lot better if you use cold brew. One tip that will come in handy when making this drink is that you should brew your coffee a bit stronger than you would normally do, to prevent it from getting watered down once the ice cubes start to melt.
2 cups strongly brewed coffee, cold
1/2 cup milk or cream
2 tablespoons vanilla syrup
1 cup ice
Fill two glasses with ice. Mix together coffee, milk/cream, and vanilla syrup before pouring over ice. Serve immediately.
To make vanilla simple syrup, you need:
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients. Bring to a soft boil and cook until the sugar has dissolved, stirring the entire time.
2. Transfer to a heat-proof container to cool to room temperature. Store in refrigerator until ready to use.
