The arrival of summer and the Covid-19 vaccine that is finally leaving a terrible year behind were already good reasons to make the most of the day, but free McFries for life will probably be an even better excuse to look forward to this Tuesday.
Many food chains are offering promotions this month, but getting free fries at McDonald’s for the rest of your life is hard to beat. How can you score the deal today?
McDonald's launched a new rewards program nationwide on July 13, and to celebrate the fast-food chain has this great promotion.
On July 13, all MyMcDonalds Rewards members got to score free fries as part of the chain's "Fry Day," but that isn't the only thing the Golden Arches has prepared for the celebration.
McDonald’s has also been hosting its "World Famous Fan" contest that could win you 1 million rewards points or a lifetime supply of free fries, which equals $19,685.
"We’re eager to repay years of fandom by giving them what they love most about McDonald’s—our delicious food—for years to come,” McDonald's USA vice president of digital customer experience and media said in a statement.
Think you're our most loyal fan? We want to know!
“To celebrate the nationwide availability of MyMcDonald's Rewards with World Famous Fan Day, we're on a mission to reward our most devoted fans,” says the company’s website.
Today is the last day, however, to score the free fries for life sweepstakes, and to participate you must tweet why you believe you are the chain’s most loyal fan at @McDonalds with the hashtag #MyMcDonaldsFanContest and the two-letter abbreviation for your state. The tweet can also include (if you choose) a photo or video that exemplifies your fandom.
According to the rules, eligible entries will be judged on Creativity & Originality – 25%, Artistic Expression – 25%, and Love and Affinity for McDonald's – 50%.
The lucky winner will snag two free medium fries per week for the next 50 years while 66 regional winners can cash in their 1 million rewards points in four deposits of 250,000 points spread out over two years, plus $250 each, to cover taxes
The contest is open only to residents of the 50 United States or DC who are at least 16 years old and ends today at 11:59:59 p.m. ET.
