Released in 1995, Toy Story was the first entirely computer-animated feature film, as well as the first feature film from Pixar. 25 years later Adidas and the animation studio have come together to celebrate this anniversary.
25 years ago Pixar released the iconic Toy Story movie and today, together with Adidas, they announced the arrival of their collection of sports shoes inspired by the movie, to celebrate the launch date of Woody’s debut film.
The new line could be launched on October 1 and includes designs inspired by the characters of the saga such as Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Rex, Hamm, and even the charming Martians.
The collection called Toy Story Friendship by Adidas and Pixar will include so far four models of tennis shoes and clothing inspired by the famous movie as well as a Luxo basketball.
"This collaboration represents the importance of bringing people together on the court, in the classroom, on the playground, and in the world," said the German tennis brand in a statement.
Toy Story is one of the most iconic Disney and Pixar sagas, and its first fans, who are now adults, continue to watch the movies on their own and together with their children.
Although if you are a fan of the series, you will never feel too old to wear clothes or shoes inspired by your favorite characters, the new shoe collection only offers children’s sizes.
The Woody-inspired model features a sheriff's badge on the tongue, a denim vest print, and the character's signature blue and yellow color.
In addition to Woody's tennis shoes, Pixar also released an image of the shoes inspired by Buzz Lightyear in white, purple, and neon green.
Long live Toy Story, to infinity and beyond!
